Vietnam's Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ, is the area around the former border between North and South Vietnam. Historically it was a narrow band of terrain extending from the Laos border to the coast, five km on either side of the Ben Hai River, roughly on the 17th parallel north latitude.

Itinerary:
Upon arrival at Hue, we will spend full day to visit Hue City, Vietnam's political capital from 1802 to 1945 under the 13 emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. Traditionally, the city has been one of Vietnam's cultural, religious and educational centers with visit the Citadel, Hue’s most prime attraction, containing the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor's Private Residence. After spending time at the Citadel, we will have lunch and then check into our hotel.
In the afternoon, we will visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Minh Mang Tomb which built in 1840, which is known for its magnificent architecture and elaborate decorations and is considered one of Hue's most beautiful pagodas and go shopping at Dong Ba Riverside Market, then return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 2: Hue –DMZ – Hue/Hoi An

Itinerary:
After having breakfast, Asia Charm Tours's guide will pick you up from the hotel in Hue and drive along the coastal area to visit the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). DMZ is set in the rugged, jungle-shrouded mountains along the Vietnam - Lao border of South Vietnam. Our tour will continue with a trip to Quang Tri Citadel, Hien Luong Bridge and the Seventeenth Parallel - the former borderline between North and South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. We will then visit Vinh Moc Tunnels, which were used to shelter people from the intense bombings during the Vietnam War, and Con Tien Firebase area. At the conclusion of all activities we will return to Hue or Hoi An.
